Guest speaker, Lynn W. Scott, MA, RD, LD, provides tips on selecting heart-healthy food in restaurants, choosing foods lower in saturated fat and sodium, when dining on ethnic cuisines, and compares calories and saturated fat in popular fast foods. Lynne W. Scott is Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. She is Director of the Diet Modification Clinic. She is a registered dietitian. She has published 45 scientific articles and has written seven books in The Living Heart series, including the revision of The Living Heart Diet, which was on the New York Times Bestseller list. Her most recent book is THE LIVING HEART GUIDE TO EATING OUT. Lynne has a private practice and enjoys working with people who need to lower their cholesterol or triglycerides, decrease their blood pressure, or lose weight.
