Disordered Eating

Katie Ellingson provided information on disordered eating, including the warning signs, symptoms, psychological and physical characteristics for all types of eating disorders. She also included how to approach someone with an eating disorder and where to get help for friends and loved ones. Katie Ellingson is a Registered Dietitian and a Health Fitness Instructor (HFI). She is currently in private practice in California, where she specializes in the nutritional treatment of eating disorders. With the combination of nutrition and fitness training, she helps clients achieve a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Reyna Franco took us on an interactive tour of our kitchen cupboards, refrigerator and freezer. We took a look at the foods stored in our kitchen and discuss the various products to determine how they fit (or don't fit) into your healthy eating goals. Reyna Franco is a registered dietitian with a masters of science in nutrition and exercise physiology. She provides nutrition and exercise assessment and counseling for sports nutrition, weight loss and management, children, adolescents and families, pre- and post-natal nutrition, and various medical conditions.
